Promoting civics education in America

Voting Rights

The right to vote is most important element of civics. You can live a good, productive life where you never harm anyone, but if you never vote you are ignoring a huge responsibility as a citizen. Voting is a right, but it is also a responsibility.

Of course you can’t go out and check every box just to say you voted. You need to be informed of the issues, the candidates, and the direction of the country. The ability to vote is something most people take for granted. Many people that live in countries where there is no freedom would be willing to give their lives to be able to vote.

A good civics education will impart upon the average citizen the importance of voting rights.

About Us

A recent Pew Research Center study found that only one in three Americans can name one of three branches of government. This shows just how little emphasis is being placed on teaching American ideals and values in our schools. It's time to address the glaring lack of civics education in America.
